What to Expect
If you have completed the confined water (pool) dives and eLearning portions of your PADI Open Water certification course with another dive operator, you can finish your certification right here in Lahaina with a referral. Just bring your referral paperwork from your original instructor and we take it from there.
This two-day course runs from 7:00 AM to as late as 12:00 PM on both days, leaving your afternoons free to enjoy the rest of Maui. Over the two days, you will complete your four remaining Open Water training dives along with the flexible skills required to finish your certification.
Every dive happens in the ocean, on real reef, guided by instructors who know these sites and the marine life that lives on them. That means your first certification dives double as your first real dives, with turtles, eels, and endemic Hawaiian species often making an appearance while you train.
Once your final dive is logged, you will be a PADI certified Open Water Diver, a credential recognized worldwide and valid for life. Wherever you travel next, your certification started here, on the reefs of West Maui.
