About
Experience the Magic of the Humpback Sanctuary
Step aboard our intimate and very comfortable 6-passenger vessel for an unforgettable whale-watching adventure where everyone has a great seat for viewing (especially photographers). We launch directly within the heart of the humpback sanctuary, where encounters with mother-and-calf pairs, energetic competition pods (hello, breaching!), and even singing whales are part of the experience. Yes—we have a hydrophone on board so you can listen in!
Guided by Captain Kelsey, Captain Steve (from Alaska), or Captain Gerald (fantastic photographer) and our knowledgeable crew, you’ll enjoy 1 hour and 45 minutes of captivating storytelling, fascinating cetacean insights, and rich Big Island history. Photographers love this trip—Captains are attentive to lighting and positioning, helping you capture that perfect shot.
Onboard Amenities:
Emergency bathroom located under the center console
Hydrophone for listening to whale songs
Relaxing music during the cruise
Cold drinks & a locally sourced snack included
Sunset Whale Watch
Our sunset whale watches typically run about 2 hours. While the captain will always prioritize safety and comfort, 95% of our sunset trips stay out through the actual sunset, offering breathtaking views as the day fades over the ocean. Weather, wind, and surf conditions may occasionally require an earlier return.
