What to Expect

Visit Project Chimps in the Blue Ridge Mountains for a volunteer-led Supporter Tour that lets you observe chimpanzees roaming hills, trees and climbing structures in spacious habitats. After the 60–90 minute tour, continue to the rooftop Laurie & Carlee Chateau for a 30-minute Lunch Launch where guests help feed the chimps. Tours run year-round but Lunch Launches pause December–February for winter safety; sightings are not guaranteed since chimpanzees choose their daily activities.

Includes

Volunteer-led supporter tour
Rooftop Lunch Launch experience and escorted feedings (seasonal)
Gloves and masks provided for Lunch Launch participants
Use of a mobility cart for up to 5 people when requested
