What to Expect

Come play with watercolor in a relaxed, no-pressure way!

Simple Watercolors with Donna is a recurring monthly workshop designed for beginners and experienced painters alike. Each session explores a different approachable watercolor technique, with plenty of room to experiment, loosen up, and simply enjoy the process.

October: Wet Into Wet

In this once-and-done session, we’ll explore the dreamy, organic magic of wet-into-wet watercolor—watching colors mingle, bloom, blend, and do their own beautiful thing.

We’ll keep it simple, intuitive, and fun as we experiment with water, pigment, movement, and happy little surprises. Along the way, you’ll create a collection of loose, colorful pieces that can become journal fodder for future art journaling, collage, mixed media, or other creative projects.

No need to be a watercolor expert—just bring your curiosity and willingness to play. Come make a mess, follow the water, and see where it takes you!

Includes

Two hours of guided watercolor instruction with Donna Coffman
All watercolor paints, brushes, paper, and shared materials
Demonstrations and guided practice with the month’s featured technique
A new watercolor technique or creative focus each month
A relaxed, supportive experience for beginners and experienced painters alike

Restrictions

  • Suitable for ages 16 and up
  • No prior watercolor experience is required.
  • Participants should be able to sit comfortably and use basic watercolor materials during the two-hour workshop.
  • This class is held upstairs at MWCA
  • Watercolor paints may stain clothing, so please dress accordingly.
