Discover Kinusaiga, a beautiful Japanese art form that creates the look of a quilted fabric picture — without any sewing!
In this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop, Robbin will guide you step-by-step as you create a colorful sunrise scene using small pieces of fabric. You’ll begin with the basic sunrise design shown, then make it your own by choosing from a wide variety of fabrics and colors. No two finished pieces need to look alike!
All supplies are included. We’ll have plenty of fabric to choose from, but you’re welcome to bring small scraps of your own if you have colors or patterns you especially love or that coordinate with your home. Quilting cotton works beautifully; very thin, gauzy fabrics and thick fabrics are not suitable. Most pieces needed are approximately 7" x 3" or smaller.
You may also want to bring a pair of scissors so you don’t have to share, but this is completely optional.
