Take a trip back in time to South Carolina’s southernmost inhabited sea island. Accessible only by boat and with few paved roads, Daufuskie is a living example of simpler times. You will enjoy a scenic boat ride across the Savannah River and along the Intracoastal Waterway where a golf cart will be waiting. Your captain will lead you on a guided tour of the island based on your group’s interests. Popular stops include coffee at the historic Mary Fields School, a look into the First Union African Baptist Church, a tasting at Silver Dew Winery, sampling spirits at Daufuskie Island Rum Company, a quick swim on Bloody Point Beach, a stop at one of the many local art galleries, or trying a scrap iron from Daufuskie Crab Company.
