This tour kicks off with a scenic 45-minute ride through the salt marsh rivers toward downtown Savannah. Along the way, your captain will share the history of Savannah’s founding, the formation of the Savannah River, and insight into the local coastal ecosystem — with opportunities to spot dolphins and other wildlife.

Once on the Savannah River, you’ll cruise past landmarks like Old Fort Jackson, Eastern Wharf, City Hall, Plant Riverside District, and under the Talmadge Bridge before entering the port terminals. Your captain will explain the logistics of the Port of Savannah—how cargo ships are loaded and unloaded, the types of vessels that pass through, and its important role in global trade. You’ll also pass the local yacht club and might even catch sight of private yachts docked along the river.

There is also the option to stop downtown for food and drinks before heading back. This tour is family-friendly and offers a unique perspective on Savannah’s rich history and modern maritime industry.
