The Best of Wynwood Tour with Wynwood Art Walk will bring you into the living history of the art district: walking the blocks that have morphed over the last 20 years, hearing the stories of the artists whose work glances down from the walls. On this stroll through the neighborhood, your guide will take you through the heart of the art district and fill you in on its inspiring backstory. On the way, we will stop at many of the most interesting murals and take a deep dive on the techniques used in their making, on the artists who created them, and on what the deeper meaning of the art pieces may be, enhancing your appreciation and deepening your enjoyment. The tour is not scripted, so each of our guides brings some individual perspective to their tours. Tour content also evolves as murals are inevitably painted over with other murals, new buildings rise from empty lots, and there are always new places and art to discover. You are welcome to comment and ask questions and will have many opportunities to take pictures and at your request, the guide will take yours.

Every inch of surface has become a canvas here, so discovering Wynwood is a bit of a game of “I Spy” especially on our walking tours. You will see art stenciled on sidewalks, stickered on the backs of street signs, and hanging from electric posts and wires. The area pulsates with creativity and visual joy. A sampling of the experience*: See the relief style works of Portuguese artist Vhils. Peer into the Wynwood Walls and learn about its role in the genesis of Wynwood. Go inside the Wynwood (Zebra) Building and visit its gallery. See enigmatic works as well as murals dedicated to sports stars. Murals may be different by the time you visit, but some of the artists currently on view in Wynwood include: Miami native Atomik, Cuban-born Miami-based Adrian Avila, Miami based MSG Crew , 1 up Crew (from Berlin), local artist Luis Valle (Nicaragua), local artist Sara Molano (Colombia), Paola Delfin (Mexico), local artist Didi Contreras (Cuba), local artist BK Fox (New York), local artist CP Won (Miami), El Mac (Los Angeles), and many, many more.

What to Expect:

• Parking: Park at the Wynwood Garage (311 NW 26th Street) or on the surrounding streets using the Pay by Phone app, or have your driver drop you off directly at our shop.
• Meeting point: Our meeting point is our WAW Shop at 413 NW 27th Street, Miami, FL 33127. We are air-conditioned, have a restroom and sell cold drinks and a wide selection of original artwork, stickers, unique clothing, jewelry, and more.
• Waivers: As an insurance requirement, all guests have to sign a liability waiver.
• Dress code: This is an outdoor walking tour, so come in comfy shoes and dressed for the weather. Sunscreen and hat are a good idea. Stay hydrated!
• Getting going: At the time of your tour, you will leave our shop with your assigned tour guide and whoever else has signed up for the same tour.
