Florida Boating Safety Requirement

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1988 must have the required Florida boating safety credential to operate a Jet Ski.

Complete the temporary certificate online before your rental. It’s a quick 25-question test and is valid for 90 days.

Driver Requirements

• Must be 18+ to rent
• Drivers 16–17 years old may operate with a parent or legal guardian on the jet ski
• Valid government-issued ID required (passports are okay) showing a photo, date of birth, issuing agency, and expiration date
• Must have the required Florida boating safety credential if born on or after January 1, 1988
• Please arrive 20 minutes before your reservation for check-in and the safety briefing

Passenger Requirements

• Maximum 2 passengers per Jet Ski
• Maximum combined weight: 400 lbs
• Passengers must be at least 5 years old
• Children must ride behind the parent or guardian
• Children may not ride in front of the driver under any circumstance

Late Arrivals

Your rental begins at your scheduled reservation time. If you arrive late, your rental time will be shortened accordingly. Additional time will not be added for late arrivals.

Please arrive 20 minutes early so you have plenty of time to check in and complete the required safety briefing.

Cancellation & Weather Policy

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before your scheduled rental will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours and no-shows are non-refundable.

If Tropic Water Sports cancels your rental due to unsafe weather or water conditions, you may reschedule or receive a refund.

Enter at the large Snappers sign from Overseas Highway and continue toward the restaurant. Tropic Water Sports is located directly next to Snappers. Parking is available on-site.
