Capybara Lounge - Ft. Lauderdale

Grab a seat, get comfortable, and hang out with capybaras right here in Ft. Lauderdale. They're the largest rodents in the world, and easily the most relaxed. The lounge is set up like a café, and the capybaras roam wherever they please, so the visit happens on their schedule, not ours.

What to Expect:

A cozy, café-style room
Capybaras wandering freely and mingling at their own pace
A chance to learn about how these animals live and behave
Other animal ambassadors are often part of the visit too
Staff on hand the whole time to answer questions and share what they know

More Info

Our capybaras are gentle, but they do have natural nails, and the occasional scratch can happen. We suggest long pants and/or sleeves so you can relax and enjoy the visit.
Every interaction is on the animals' terms. If a capybara wants to nap instead of visit, we let it nap.
Sessions last 30 minutes: 25 in the lounge, plus up to 5 minutes of instruction beforehand.
Spots fill quickly, so book ahead to make sure you get a full session.
Please sign your waivers before you arrive, and plan to be here 15 minutes early.
Groups can include up to 18 guests.
Children 2 and under don't count toward the guest total.
