What to Expect

Sunset On A Gorgeous Classic Yacht

Experience the famous Key West Sunset with a sail onboard one of the most well known schooners in the United States.

Elegant. Refined. One of A Kind.

American naval architect John G. Alden (1884 - 1962) possessed an extraordinary talent for designing yachts which exquisitely combined spectacular elegance and record-breaking performance.

A passionate offshore racer, Alden designed a series of winning yachts for the Newport - Bermuda races. Those designed for his personal use he named the Malabar series.

The 1930-built Malabar X was the magnum opus of his schooner portfolio, winning her class in 1930 and smashing records in 1932 to take first place overall ahead of 3 other schooners of Alden’s design.

Come sail Malabar X with Sunset Sail Key West and be part of her story as we sail into the sunset, enjoying the unspoiled view and blue water sailing to be had off the Keys' Atlantic coast.

Help raise sail, take a turn at the helm, or simply relax and enjoy planning your next trip with Sunset Sail Key West as our captain and crew sail you out to catch the breeze!
