Snorkel the Christ of the Abyss Statue — Key Largo's Iconic Underwater Landmark
Snorkel over the famous underwater statue plus a second reef site — all gear included.
What to Expect
Spend the afternoon snorkeling two sites in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, starting with Key Largo's most iconic underwater attraction — the Christ of the Abyss statue. The nine-foot bronze sculpture sits in about 25 feet of water and is visible right from the surface on a clear day. It's one of the most photographed underwater sites in the world, and you don't need scuba gear to see it.
After the statue, your captain picks a second reef site based on conditions — so you get a mix of the landmark experience and a genuine coral reef loaded with tropical fish, sea turtles, and rays. Because you're sharing the boat with certified divers, you visit sites with real depth and variety — not the shallow sandy spots snorkel-only boats tend to use.
Mask, snorkel, and fins are included — just bring a towel and sunscreen and you're good to go. No snorkeling experience is required, but all participants must be comfortable swimmers. Kids 6 and up are welcome. The crew is happy to help first-timers get comfortable before jumping in.
