Deep Sea Half Day

Islamorada’s half-day offshore charter runs about four hours aboard Poppa Wahoo, a big, stable 55-foot sportfishing yacht with a shaded deck, air-conditioned cabin and a real bathroom. The reef edge and nearby wrecks lie minutes from the dock, so lines are in quickly and the crew focuses on grouper, snapper, kingfish and whatever the season is serving. Morning departures (around 7 am) give the calmest seas; afternoons suit late sleepers and wrap with a sunset ride home. Captain and mate coach every step, clean the catch at the dock, and bag fillets for dinner.
