What to Expect

General admission to the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum is FREE, with a suggested donation of $5 per person.

Museums for All / SNAP Benefits Recipients – Free admission (including special exhibits with entry fee). We are a proud partner of Museums for All. Families or individuals receiving SNAP benefits receive free admission when they present their EBT card and a valid photo ID.

The Museum is self-guided. Visitors will be welcomed by a docent, receive an overview of the exhibits, and enjoy a short presentation on the evolution of the historic building.

All guided tours are booked in advance and include all exhibits and the historic courtroom. Tours are available mornings and afternoons daily.

General admission entry allows you to see many exhibits throughout the museum:

  • The People and Places gallery
  • The 1916 Historic Courtroom on the 3rd floor
  • The Stories of Rescue exhibit on the 1st floor
  • Childrens Education Area on the 4th floor.
