What to Expect
Prerequisites:
- Minimum age 10 years old
- Must be able to swim 200 yards or meters continuously
- Must be able to float or tread water for 10 minutes
This globally recognized certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the Open Water Diver certification upon successful completion.
We know your time is valuable, so your course takes advantage of the latest state-of-the-art digital media to allow you to do most of the academics at your own pace online and on your own time before class starts.
Our Open Diver Water courses typically run Mondays-Wednesdays and Fridays-Sundays. If this schedule does not fit into your travel plans, ask us about a private course (additional fees may apply) that may be scheduled around your visit.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation and Reschedule Policy
nDue to limited availability, no refund will be issued for cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the course start date. For cancellations made greater than 7 days prior to the course start date, a 50% refund may be issued for the course. Dive courses may be rescheduled to a future date at no cost (subject to boat trip and instructor availability). In the event of inclement weather, alternate open water training sites may be used for student training in leu of Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary. Any courses not rescheduled and completed with a year of the original booking date are subject to cancellation without refund.
nAll boat trips are weather dependent. We take the safety and satisfaction of our customers very seriously and will not go out in conditions we deem unsafe or borderline. Due to the inability to predict the weather conditions ahead of time (trust us, we would if we could!) there is never a guarantee that trips will be available. In order to cover fuel and crew costs, there is a minimum number of customers required per trip.
