What to Expect

Join the Bay Breeze Bait and Tackle pro shop staff at Camp Helen State Park for introductory group fishing lessons! We’ll provide all the bait, gear, and instruction you need to get started. The initial lesson will cover essential gear, casting, rigging, reeling in, and landing fish. Afterward, we’ll choose a strategic spot within the park to practice the techniques you've learned.

The main instructor, Zak Barber, is an experienced pro shop staff member with extensive knowledge in inshore, surf, and pier fishing. His passion for fishing is contagious, and his personal instruction will provide valuable insights for years to come.
