What to Expect
Board a small-group charter (maximum 6 guests) and travel by boat to less-visited fossil beds just off Venice, Florida. After a safety and fossil briefing, learn to use scoops and sifters in knee- to chest-deep water or snorkel nearby 6-15-ft sites while your guide helps you spot, identify and collect real prehistoric shark teeth. The trip combines roughly 1 hour of total travel time with about 3 hours of hands-on fossil hunting. All equipment (scoops, sifters, mask, snorkel, fins, collecting bag) plus cold bottled water are provided.
