Inshore fishing happens in shallow, protected water close to shore: grass flats, mangrove edges, oyster bars, docks and channels where redfish, snook and spotted seatrout come to feed. Because the boat stays in calmer water, an inshore trip is a comfortable choice for first-timers, families and anyone who would rather spend the day casting than running offshore.

Where do you fish?
The flats and shorelines off Pinellas Point, the waters around Fort De Soto, the structure near the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and the mangrove islands and grass flats of Shell Key Preserve. Your captain picks the spots based on the season, tide and conditions.

What can we catch?
Redfish and spotted seatrout year-round, and snook at their best in the warmer months. What you can keep depends on the season and fishing regulations, so no species is guaranteed.

Do I need experience?
No. Your captain will show you how to cast, work a bait, set the hook and fight a fish, and experienced anglers can make the day as focused as they like.
