Venice is home to many calm sea days – which means excellent fishing more often. West Florida also offers the best grouper fishing, second to none. While there is an abundance of fishing available, you still have to know where to go to be on the fish. That is where Captain Tom Bailas, a Florida native and fisherman for over 40 years becomes your new best friend.

Captain Tom provides every group with expert advice and support to make your offshore expedition exciting. From Grouper, Snapper, and Amberjack to Kingfish, Barracuda, Tuna, and Sharks, we have the capability to get you on the fish.

The diverse topography of the Gulf of Mexico includes natural and artificial reefs and rock piles, also deep ledges along with many ship wrecks combine to make great havens for all kinds of reef fish like Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack, Cobia. We also have a great migration of Kingfish, Mackerel, Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, and Sharks giving you many offshore charter fishing options all year round. So whether you are a novice or an expert we will give you the best charter fishing trip available!

All bait, tackle and licenses are provided by Captain Tom, just bring sunscreen, drinks and food - alcoholic beverages are allowed. Your catch will be cleaned and bagged at no extra charge.

Offshore charter fishing trips are dependent on good weather and calm seas. If the waves are too big offshore then we will fish the Bay where it is calm.
