About
Enjoy a night under the stars with a warm campfire and friends. This trip will be led by local naturalist AyoLane Halusky. Together we will cross the St. Johns River and set up camp, swim or go for a hike, and learn about local legends of the area. Share a dinner around the campfire followed up with a night paddle before allowing creatures of the night to sing you to sleep. Wake up on the shores of the St. Johns River like the first American Naturalist William Bartram did in the 1700’s. End your trip with a short paddle back to the landing the following morning.

- Porta Potty bathroom & primitive methods
- Parking available at the launch site
- Concrete boat ramp launch
What to Bring
- Any food & water (2gal per person) you may need. Meals will be self prepared and/or shared potluck style.
-cooking & eat equipment, and lighter - Tent & sleeping bag
-A change of clothes & swim attire - Water Shoes that stay on your feet (Closed toe recommended. Slippers, Flip Flops and Crocs not recommended.)
- Protection: hat, sun lotion, sun glasses, bug spray
- Dress for weather: if it’s cool, overcast or cold, bring a warm layer
- Optional: dry bag for your personal belongings
It is recommended that personal items be secured in your vehicle or a dry bag, we are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or destroyed items.

Cancellation Policy
This trip is non-refundable with in 72 hours of the launch date. There is a lot of planning and cost to set up a trip like this please understand that we can not refund your money last minute, no exceptions. If a trip is postponed do to weather, actions or unseen events that blocks our ability to camp or have access to the island, we will then work with you for the best course of action.
