First Aid Courses

Most dive accidents are survivable if someone on the surface knows what to do in the first ten minutes. These are the courses that make you that person. Choose Basic Life Support for CPR, AED, and general first aid; Emergency Oxygen to treat decompression illness properly instead of guessing; or Diving First Aid, which covers all of it plus neurological assessment and hazardous marine life injuries. Every one is hands-on with real equipment and capped at four students, so you practice until it's automatic rather than watching a video. Certification is recognized worldwide. Option 1 — Basic Life Support: CPR and First Aid
One- and two-rescuer CPR for adults, children, and infants, AED use, choking, bleeding management, splinting, burns, shock, and medical emergencies. No prerequisites, open to non-divers, and it meets U.S. Coast Guard requirements for captain and mate licenses.

Option 2 — Emergency Oxygen for Diving Injuries
Recognizing decompression illness and administering emergency oxygen correctly — the single most useful intervention between the water and the chamber. Requires current CPR certification; see below if you don't hold one.

Option 3 — Diving First Aid
The complete package. Everything in Basic Life Support, plus emergency oxygen, neurological assessment, and treating hazardous marine life injuries. The one to take if you're only taking one.

Prerequisties

• Basic Life Support — none. Open to anyone, divers and non-divers alike.
• Emergency Oxygen — current CPR certification from DAN or an equivalent agency.
• Diving First Aid — none.
