After a short boat ride to the scallop grounds, you’ll snorkel over lush seagrass beds while searching for bay scallops—often called the “underwater Easter egg hunt.” Captain Gene provides instruction on how to spot, collect, and safely handle scallops, along with guidance on local regulations and conservation practices.

Throughout the trip, Captain Gene shares knowledge about the scallop life cycle, the importance of seagrass habitats, and the diverse marine life you’ll encounter along the way. No prior experience is needed, and the pace is relaxed, so everyone can enjoy the adventure at their comfort level.

Your trip includes use of the boat and Captain Gene’s expertise; guests should bring their own snorkel gear, sunscreen, towels, and refreshments. The comfortable 24-foot boat accommodates 1–6 people and offers a safe, easy platform for getting in and out of the water.
