Restrictions
All golf cart operators must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver’s license. Guests must use common sense, obey all traffic laws, and understand that operating a golf cart under the influence of alcohol or drugs can result in a DUI and other legal consequences. Golf carts may only be operated within Key West, Stock Island, and Key Haven, and it is illegal to drive a golf cart past Key Haven on US-1.
Infants & Young Children: For safety reasons, we generally do not recommend golf-cart use for children under 2 years old. We do not provide infant car seats or rear-facing child seats. If a parent or guardian chooses to have an infant ride in the golf cart, they must supply their own appropriate child-restraint seat and are solely responsible for ensuring it is properly installed, secured, and suitable for the child.
We have a limited number of booster seats available, intended primarily for children age 2 and older; availability is not guaranteed. Parents or guardians are responsible for determining whether a booster seat is appropriate for their child and for complying with all applicable safety requirements. By renting, the parent or guardian assumes responsibility and liability, to the extent permitted by law, for any child riding in the vehicle.
