What to Expect

Explore the St. Johns River on a self-guided paddle adventure!

  • Perfect for guests wanting to explore the spring run (excluding manatee season) and surrounding waterways of the St. Johns River.

Please note that we launch our vessels from a beach. Your feet may get wet during the launch process, so please plan footwear accordingly.

Restrictions

  • Must be 18+ yrs old to book. Photo ID is required for each renter 18+ yrs old. Copies are not permitted.
    Minors must have a parent or legal guardian present in the party. Children must be 14+ yrs old to be in a single kayak or paddleboard with adult supervision. Children less than 6 yrs old are not allowed to be in a kayak however may be in a canoe with an adult. For children weighing less than 30 lbs., you are required to provide your own (USCG) Coast Guard approved life jacket.
  • Paddle reservations more than 30 minutes late will be cancelled and vessels will be reassigned.
  • Prior to booking, please see Cancellations reflected below regarding our cancellation policies.
  • Our vessels must always stay between St. Johns green river channel markers 69 and 77. No watercraft allowed in the spring run effective April 1, 2025.
  • You must stay in your vessel with life jackets on and fastened at all times during the rental. For your safety, swimming and landing at any other beach is not allowed, including French Landing. Boarding other boats or exchanging passengers is also prohibited.
  • Alcohol may not be brought into the State Park or onto our vessels. We reserve the right to inspect coolers prior to departure.
  • Pets are not permitted in our vessels.

Cancellation Policy

Guest Tour Cancellations

Paddle craft reservations must be cancelled no less than 24 hours before your scheduled start time to be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations within a 24-hour window will only be eligible to be rebooked. No call, no show, will not be eligible for a refund or rebook once their scheduled rental time has passed. ** Same day reservations ARE NON REFUNDABLE and only eligible to rebook to another day.**

Weather Cancellations

Rentals depart rain or shine, so please arrive prepared with a poncho or raincoat. If lightning is reported within 5 miles of the launch area, launches will cease until lightning has been out of this radius for 30 minutes. If the rental is cancelled by Blue Spring Adventures BEFORE DEPARTURE, only a full refund will be issued. Rentals that leave the beach past the buoy line will be considered complete and will not be eligible for full or partial refunds. Pre-bookings cannot be downgraded to a shorter amount of time upon arrival. If lightning is not detected, but the guest decides to postpone, the trip can be rebooked.
