BOAT OPTIONS - Choose Multiple boats or a Big Party Barge
Compare options for using MULTIPLE standard size boats for up to 36 passengers, as opposed to using one Large Party Barge for up to 47 guests (or multiple barges up to 150 passengers).
- Multiple standard-size boat option is USUALLY CHEAPER and more convenient (for bar-hop or sightsee) than a large party barge
- If some guests want to spend a little time with activities (i.e. snorkel or sightsee) separate from the rest of the group, and choose to reconvene with the entire group at the sandbar afterward, multiple boats will be needed.
- SIX-PACK USCG Coast Guard rule APPLIES TO ALL charter companies and all licensed captains, with exceptions. No more than 6 paid guests on each standard-size boat, as outlined in the section below.
- ALTHOUGH OUR STANDARD SIZE BOATS COULD PHYSICALLY SEAT 10-12 PASSENGERS, THEY ONLY CRUISE WITH 6 MAXIMUM GUESTS DUE TO THE US COAST GUARD "6-PACK RULE".
- IT IS A SHORT, 5 MINUTE RIDE TO THE SANDBAR OR ABOUT 12 MINUTES OR LESS TO THE SNORKEL REEF. IF CHOOSING THE CHEAPER, SEPARATE, MULTIPLE-BOAT-OPTION, YOUR GROUP IS BACK TOGETHER QUICKLY.
- LARGE PARTY BARGES ARE SLOWER & CANNOT ACCESS SOME AREAS. EXPECT MORE TRAVEL TIME, LESS SIGHTSEE AREAS, AND NO BAR-HOP AVAILALBE DUE TO SIZE LIMITATIONS, WHICH ARE NOT AN ISSUE WITH STANDARD-SIZE BOATS.
6-PACK US COAST GUARD RULE - EXPLAINED HERE:
- With the exception of the special credentials of USCG "Master" captains, formal paperwork and/or USCG certifications of larger or specialized boats, THE US COAST GUARD WILL NOT ALLOW a charter BOAT CAPTAIN to DRIVE SEVEN or MORE PASSENGERS ON STANDARD BOATS (privately owned, rented, or owned by charter companies)
- BOAT CHARTER COMPANIES ALLOWING MORE THAN 6 PASSENGERS SHOULD BE QUESTIONED TO ENSURE THEY ARE CERTIFIED TO DO SO
- LEGITIMATE CAPTAINS CARRY APPROPRIATE "MASTERS" LICENSES,
- COMPANIES AND BOATS SHOULD BE FULLY INSURED TO COVER PASSENGERS (AS OPPOSED TO A RENTED OR PERSONAL/NON-COMMERCIAL BOATS)
- USCG looks for "illegal charters" and will turn the boat back to the dock. Customers lose their time and money. "Illegal captains" can lose their license (if exists) and fines are applied.
RATES
Prices are determined by number of passengers, desired activities/locations, holiday/versus non-busy season, and length of excursion.

- Depends on number of guests, activities, duration, & holiday or seasonal increases
- Example 1: 4 hours estimate $1250 (7-12 guests on 2 boats) Sandbar only
- Example 2: 6 hours $1430 (7-12 guests on 2 boats) and adding Snorkel & Sandbar. Maximum of 6 guests each boat.
- Example 3: Party Barge starts at $1800 7 guests, 2hrs for sunset cruise.
- Example 4: Party Barge starts at $4500 up to 40 passengers 4hrs sandbar and snorkel.
- Typical gratuity is 17% on top of charter prices

CANCELLATION
Large Groups (more than 6) see Cancellation Policy at the bottom of the web page. For Custom Charters, special events, charters with multiple large Party Barges (or 40+ people), with catering, or with other custom services, please cancel 90 days prior to the reservation for full refund. Rain delays or other weather-related cancelation rules are also within the company's Cancellation Policy on the website.

Cancellation Policy
Guests' delays of 15 minutes or more on the day of the charter may be considered "no show" and automatically cancelled without refund if delay is not communicated to the captain or company near departure time.
n+Weather cancellations are confirmed by the captain or by business management, the evening or morning before the charter start time, and are fully refundable if the charter does not depart. Customer is not responsible for determining "cancellable weather" but is welcome to ask. We are not responsible for potential showers which occur in tropical South Florida during a trip, but we try to avoid them and will not depart in severe weather. Instead we will offer other time slots, dates, or refund. Customer may request partial credit if weather cancels a majority of the charter/tour's time (depends on additional circumstances also). Refunds are processed within 10 days of cancellation but may not be evident in customer accounts before 30 days after cancellation.
n+On standard dates (not surrounding holidays) and for 6 passengers or fewer (21ft-26ft size boat), customers must cancel no less than 48 hour prior to departure time is required for full refund. +Reservations made within 48 hours of departure time may not be fully refunded if cancelled, as they are already within the no-refund window.
nFor Holiday periods (standard US Holidays and 5 days prior/after a holiday)
nOR For Large Group Charters (more than 6 passengers) on multiple/individual boats, 72 hour customer cancellation prior to departure time is required for full refund.
For the large Party barge, where more than 6 guests are on ONE BIG BOAT (party barges 35-50 ft boats) customer cancellation is required 15 days prior to departure time for full refund. When more than one party barge is a reserved, cancellation is required 30 DAYS advance of the departure time for a full refund.
nFor boat RENTALS, without a captain, customer cancellation of 3 days advance of departure time is required for full refund.
