What to Expect

  • We will paddle the serene waters surrounding the Assawoman Wildlife Refuge as we explore its wooded shoreline and salt marsh ponds and cuts. Numerous bald eagles make their home in this area so we are always on the look-out for these majestic birds.
    Our certified kayak guides give a short instructional session before the tour and also supply all of the safety gear.
    Paddling time on this tour is about 1.5-2 hours.

What to Bring

  • foot protection that will stay on your feet in the water

  • sunglasses (polarized are best so that you can see in the water)

  • sunscreen

  • clothing layers appropriate for the temperature
