What to Expect
Our cruise to Milton is a 4 1/2 hour tour-approximately 1.5 hours each way plus a little over an hour to explore the town of Milton. We will cover 13 miles of the Broadkill River. We depart from 217 Anglers Road in Lewes and cruise to the docks at Milton Memorial Park and back.
The Broadkill River flows for its entire length in eastern Sussex County. From Milton, the Broadkill River flows generally northwesterly, passing through wetlands and salt marshes of the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge. While we are cruising, take a moment to scan the wetlands surrounding you. These are home to hundreds of animals, many of which you might see with the naked eye and better yet, through binoculars. Bring your camera for some great photo ops.
Once we arrive in Milton, hop off to explore the town and grab something to eat or drink at one of the nearby restaurants. You are also welcome to bring food and beverages onboard. Alcohol is allowed. We will dock directly in front of Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant. You will disembark for a little over an hour to explore Milton and re-board our vessel for the ride home.
Our crew will give instructions on return time to the vessel.
