Artist Conversation | The Aldrich Decennial
What to Expect
Join The Aldrich Decennial artists Jen Bervin, Lula Mae Blocton, Anoka Faruqee, and David Driscoll for a conversation moderated by Karis Medina, Associate Curator at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, presented in conjunction with The Aldrich Decennial: I am what is around me.
Bringing together four artists whose practices span visual art, writing, poetry, and collaborative modes of making, the conversation will offer an opportunity to hear directly from the artists about their work, ideas, and creative processes. Through a discussion of selected works and their broader practices, the artists will share the questions and interests that drive their work and reflect on some of the experiences, relationships, and influences that have shaped its development.
Presented in conjunction with The Aldrich Decennial: I am what is around me, the inaugural edition of a recurring exhibition taking place every ten years and featuring 40 artists who live and work in Connecticut, the program offers a closer look at the distinct practices and perspectives represented within the exhibition.
The program will be presented in person at The Aldrich and virtually via Zoom. Please select either an in-person ticket or virtual ticket when registering.
