What to Expect

Experience the views and colors of autumn throughout the scenic Litchfield Hills aboard our Pumpkin Patch Trains! These special excursions travel along the beautiful Naugatuck River, crossing several bridges that offer spectacular views of the river and surrounding fall foliage. Along the way, passengers will enjoy a serving of delicious pumpkin ice cream.

The Pumpkin Patch Express makes a special stop at the Naugatuck Railroad’s very own pumpkin patch, where each passenger can pick out a pumpkin to take home. This family-friendly ride is especially popular with younger children and operates during the weeks leading up to Halloween. The excursion lasts approximately one hour.
