What to Expect

The Lighthouse is a spectacular venue for a sunset cocktail party with friends and family, a magical date night, an unforgettable wedding reception, an extravagant birthday party, or simply a fulfilling private family tour with one of our knowledgeable Keepers.

Events are operated by Greens Ledge Light Preservation Society, which restored and preserves the lighthouse. Private Events & Overnights help fund our ongoing preservation efforts.

Enjoy scenic views of Long Island Sound and experience a rare opportunity to visit one of Connecticut’s restored maritime landmarks. The event offers a close-up look at the lighthouse, its history, restoration, off-grid systems, and role in guiding mariners through the waters off Norwalk, Darien, and Sheffield Island.

A member of the GLLPS will be on hand to show guests around the lighthouse. You will be able to tour each level of the lighthouse with plenty of additional time for celebrations. Guests must supply their own food/drink, if desired. Bottled water will be available at the lighthouse. Greens Ledge is equipped with a working kitchen (with oven, fridge, stove, microwave etc.) and outdoor grill.

Transportation to-and-from the lighthouse is included in the ticket price. For help coordinating transportation or for suggestions, please reach out to a member of the GLLPS team. Availability is limited to Thursday through Sunday evenings from May through October, weather permitting.

Tours are not handicap accessible due to vessel, dock, and historic lighthouse access limitations
