The Cross Mountain Adventure is a full-day UTV ride from Pitkin, Colorado that combines a scenic alpine loop with a climb to one of the best panoramic viewpoints in the Taylor Park area. This route is designed for riders who want a destination-driven experience with big elevation, varied terrain, and a true backcountry feel.

The ride begins by crossing Cumberland Pass at over 12,000 feet before descending into Union Park, a wide-open alpine valley surrounded by peaks. From there, riders take an out-and-back trail to the summit of Cross Mountain, where expansive views stretch across Taylor Park and the surrounding mountain ranges.

After returning from the summit, the route continues toward Taylor Park with an optional stop at the Trading Post for food, drinks, or a quick break. The ride then heads through the historic town of Tin Cup before crossing back over Cumberland Pass and returning to Pitkin.

This tour features a mix of forest trails, open valleys, and high-elevation terrain. It is best suited for confident beginners to experienced riders looking for a full-day adventure with a rewarding summit destination.
