Leatherworking: Custom Tooled Belt
Learn the art of leather tooling while creating a custom belt you'll wear for years to come.
What to Expect
Create a one-of-a-kind leather belt in this hands-on 2.5-hour workshop by transforming a premium vegetable-tanned leather belt blank into a personalized piece of wearable art. Rather than building a belt from raw leather, you'll focus on one of leatherworking's most rewarding skills—tooling and decorating leather.
Guided step by step, you'll learn the fundamentals of leather tooling, including how to transfer designs, use stamping tools, create borders and patterns, and add your own creative details. Whether you prefer classic western designs, geometric patterns, floral elements, or personalized initials, you'll have the opportunity to make your belt uniquely yours.
Once your design is complete, you'll cut the belt to your custom size, install the hardware, and finish the edges, leaving with a durable, handcrafted belt that's ready to wear.
This workshop is perfect for beginners as well as anyone looking to explore traditional leather tooling techniques. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials and tools are provided.
