What to Expect
Lodging Details
- Lodging check-in is between 3:00pm and 8:00pm. As a courtesy to other guests, you must register in person by 8:00pm or have called for late check-in instructions to access the property (for guests who have previously stayed with us).
- All overnight guests are required to show a valid ID at check-in.
- All lodging guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children under the age of 3 are not permitted in our lodging accommodations.
- No additional guests besides those with a paid reservation and signed in may stay overnight on the property.
- On check-in day, room guests may arrive as early as 9:00am to soak in the hot springs. Please notify the front desk that you are a room guest for that night, and they will make arrangements for you.
- Housekeeping for each room is done daily. Please be courteous and respectful of staff cleaning duties.
- Lodging check-out time is 11:00am. Late check-out could incur additional charges.
- Guests may stay and soak until 9:00pm on the day of checkout. Once you have checked out, you must use the downstairs facilities for the remainder of your stay.
- Pending availability, registration for additional nights must be made by 11:00am.
- Orvis Hot Springs treats all guests equally.
Room Details
Nicknamed “the Iron”, this bright room features one queen bed and one double bed, both made out of iron on the neighboring Orvis Springs Ranch, a built-in vanity and sink, a skylight, and a table with four chairs.
Accommodates a maximum of five people. There is a queen bed, a full bed, and a cot available upon request.

Restrictions
Under no circumstances to we allow the following in the soaking areas:
- Electronics of any kind, including phones, smart watches, tablets, and cameras
- Glassware
- Alcohol
- Drugs of any kind, including cannabis
Failure to comply with these rules may result in ejection from the springs with no refund provided.
Children at Orvis Hot Springs
While we currently welcome children and want to continue to do so, we need your help.
Every guest child or adult are expected to be kind and considerate of other people's peace here at Orvis Hot Springs. We don't allow adults to splash each other shouting or wear goggles, we also expect that YOUR KIDS DO NOT PURPOSEFULLY SPLASH, SHOUT, OR WEAR GOGGLES IN THE OUTDOOR POOLS. CHILDREN UNDER 13 ARE TO BE WITHIN ARMS LENGTH OF THEIR GUARDIAN AT ALL TIMES AND MUST WEAR SWIMSUITS.
This "arms length" includes inside the lobby, changing rooms in addition to the gardens and soaking ponds. ORVIS HOT SPRINGS IS NOT A LAP POOL FOR CHILDREN. MINORS 13-17 YEARS OLD ARE EXPECTED TO BE WITHIN EYESIGHT OF THEIR GUARDIAN AT ALL TIMES. THESE RULES ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL SOAKING AND THE SAFETY OF THE CHILDREN.
If your kids need to get out a lot of energy at a pool we recommend the Ouray Hot Springs pool and their awesome kid features, or Montrose Recreation Center where there is a big slide and other fun kid centered amenities! If your child can understand that our pool is like a library where we use our quiet voices and manners, they are welcome! IF NOT, WE'LL HAVE TO ASK YOUR GROUP TO LEAVE FOR THE DAY WITHOUT A REFUND.

Cancellation Policy
Credit card and ID required at check-in: Your credit card will be charged for the full cost of the reserved stay. If at check-in if you choose to pay cash for your reservation, the payment of funds may not be available for 7 - 10 business days.
Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled reservation will be fully refunded minus a $20 cancellation fee. The $20 is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you contact us by 3:00pm two days before your reservation, you will only forfeit your $20 cancellation fee.
