What to Expect
Independence Monument is an iconic desert tower located a mere hour and a half from Moab and is located in the beautiful Colorado National Monument in Fruita, CO.
After a scenic hour hike you will find yourself at the base of Independence Monument.
Otto's Route is 4 pitches in length and consists of highly varied climbing. Face climbing, crack climbing and steep climbing will be encountered on your way to the summit. All this at a 5.9 difficulty means even determined beginners get to reach the summit. 2 rappels get you back to the ground.

Restrictions
This is a great beginner multipitch but is best suited for those with some climbing (indoor or outdoor) experience. If you have very little experience but a lot of determination you still can be successful!
