The La Plata Mountains are the peaks you see from downtown Durango to the West. High in these mountains the Colorado Trail comes through Kennebec Pass and descends all the way to the town of Durango! This is the section of the trail we mountain bike! The catch is, you need a shuttle, which we provide! It is what people say is their favorite segment of the entire Colorado Trail! Another local favorite for a reason! This tour will be one of the best mountain bike rides of your life!
Enjoy this mountain bike tour in the alpine on the Colorado Trail down to Durango with a local guide and shuttle driver. The high country alpine mountain biking is where the locals go! It is beautiful terrain with big mountains, flowers, creeks, and breathtaking views! This ride does have difficult sections, but your guide will help you and the group through them to continue having the best time! Whether you are intermediate, advanced, or expert, we will cater a ride for you. If you do not see a time slot you are looking for (evening time or within 24 hours), give us a call and we will try to adjust our schedule to make it happen!

If you need a bike rental and helmet, we can help you with that. We will get you all set up at a discounted price through 2nd Ave Sports in Durango and your guide will arrive for the tour with your rental. You will have the option for a bike rental when booking. If booking within 24 hours, we cannot guarantee a bike rental. If rental is unavailable, you will receive a full refund.
