What to Expect

Prerequisites: Intro to Fusing or similar experience required

Take your fusing skills to the next level with this hands-on class featuring strip construction fused glass! Students will hone their glass cutting skills to create numerous glass strips that are then assembled on-edge, rather than laid flat, and fused together to make striped designs. This class includes learning how to coldwork glass for straight edges using a lap grinder. Discussions will include design choices, reactive glass, and firing schedules. Students will get to design and assemble one 10” x 10” plate that will be fused, coldworked and slumped.
