What to Expect

Celebrate the season with an unforgettable evening of award-winning restaurants, festive drinks and sparkling holiday lights on the Lights & Bites Holiday Dinner Tour.

Offered for a limited time during the holiday season, this special 2.5-hour experience combines the progressive dining format of our popular Downtown Denver Dinner Tour with the festive atmosphere of downtown Denver at its most magical. You’ll visit four carefully selected stops, enjoy enough food for a full dinner, sip three included drinks and end the evening with dessert beneath the holiday lights of McGregor Square.

Rather than spending the entire night at one restaurant, you’ll enjoy a progressive meal across several of downtown Denver’s standout dining destinations. Each stop introduces a new dish, drink and atmosphere, giving you the opportunity to experience more of the city’s culinary scene in a single evening.

Your local foodie guide will handle the reservations, timing and route, allowing you to relax and enjoy a complete night out without planning multiple restaurant stops yourself. All you need to do is arrive hungry, dress warmly and get ready to eat, drink and explore.

The evening begins inside Denver Union Station, one of the city’s most iconic gathering places. After meeting your guide and fellow guests, you’ll step outside and make the short walk to Tavernetta, an acclaimed Italian restaurant located just beside the station.

At Tavernetta, you’ll begin with house-made focaccia and marinated Italian olives. The freshly baked bread and savory olives create a relaxed introduction to the progressive dinner and offer a taste of the restaurant’s refined Italian cooking.

Your first bites are paired with a Brachetto spritz, a bright and lightly sparkling Italian cocktail. Refreshing, festive and slightly sweet, it provides a celebratory start to the evening and sets the tone for the drinks and tastings still to come.

After Tavernetta, head to the festive Mile Post Zero, decked out with lights and a full ice rink in the center. There you'll sample delicious tacos with local craft beer.

From McGregor Square, you'll walk to the Dairy Block, one of the most picturesque and lively blocks in Denver. You'll visit Poka Lola Social Club for holiday cocktails paired with comforting fried chicken sandwiches and Ranch fries.

You'll end your experience just down the Dairy Block inside the Denver Milk Market with a holiday cookie and lots of beautiful decor and lights.

The Lights & Bites Holiday Dinner Tour includes four total stops, a complete dinner, dessert and three alcoholic beverages (mocktails can be substituted). The tastings are served in generous portions, so guests should arrive hungry and should not need to make additional dinner plans afterward.

The experience is designed to feel like a festive evening out rather than a traditional sightseeing tour. You’ll spend plenty of time seated inside the restaurants, eating and enjoying your drinks, while the short walks between stops keep the evening lively and allow you to experience downtown.

Your guide will bring the different parts of the tour together with stories about the restaurants, chefs, neighborhoods and landmarks along the route. You’ll learn more about the dining destinations you visit and gain a deeper appreciation for the city around them.

For visitors to Denver, the tour offers an easy way to experience several popular areas of downtown in one evening. You can enjoy multiple restaurants, see notable city sights and experience the holiday lights without needing to research the route or coordinate several reservations.

For Denver locals, the tour provides a fresh way to enjoy familiar streets and restaurants. Even if you have spent plenty of time downtown, experiencing it as part of a guided progressive dinner can make the neighborhood feel completely different.

The tour is an excellent choice for couples looking for a memorable holiday date night. Instead of choosing just one restaurant, you’ll enjoy several dining experiences, three drinks and built-in entertainment throughout the evening.

It is also ideal for friends planning a holiday outing. The progressive format gives everyone time to talk over dinner, move around between courses and share a complete experience together.

Families with adult children can enjoy a festive evening without cooking or coordinating multiple activities, while visitors can use the tour as an introduction to downtown Denver’s food and holiday scene.

Solo guests are welcome as well. The shared tables, guided walks and relaxed atmosphere make it easy to meet and connect with other food lovers throughout the evening.

The social nature of the tour is part of what makes it special. Guests often begin the night as separate couples or small groups and naturally get to know one another over the shared tastings and walks.

Each restaurant offers time to sit down, warm up and enjoy the food, while the route between stops allows the group to move through the city together. By dessert, the experience often feels more like a festive dinner party than a standard tour.

The Lights & Bites Holiday Dinner Tour is also a great option for holiday celebrations, birthdays, reunions and special occasions. It combines dinner, drinks and entertainment into one reservation, making it easier to plan a complete evening.

Instead of booking dinner and then searching for something to do afterward, you’ll experience the city throughout the meal. The restaurant stops, guided walks and holiday finale are all built into the experience.

Private versions of the tour may be available for company parties, client events, family gatherings and groups of friends.

A private tour allows your group to enjoy the full progressive dinner with its own guide and departure. It can be an engaging alternative to a traditional private dining room or office holiday party.

Corporate groups often appreciate the tour because it offers a structured experience without feeling overly formal. Guests have time to socialize at each restaurant, and the walks naturally encourage people to mix and connect with different members of the group.

Organizers do not need to arrange a venue, separate catering, drinks and entertainment. The restaurant reservations, menu, route and guide are coordinated in advance, allowing the host to participate fully in the evening.

The tour lasts approximately 2.5 hours, although the exact ending time may vary slightly based on restaurant service, group size and downtown conditions.
