Make unforgettable family Christmas memories aboard Santa’s Holiday Express from Antonito, Colorado!
For one festive December weekend, the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad welcomes families aboard for a special Christmas journey through the San Luis Valley.
Depart from the Antonito Depot for a round-trip train ride to Lava and back. Along the way, enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, candy canes and holiday refreshments while spending time together aboard our historic train.
The highlight for young passengers comes when Santa joins families onboard! Children will have the opportunity to meet Santa during the journey, giving you the perfect chance to snap a photo and create a Christmas memory to treasure.
With affordable family pricing and only a limited number of departures, gather the kids, grandparents and everyone in between and celebrate Christmas aboard America’s #1 Scenic Train Ride.
Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase to guests 21 and older with valid identification, with a maximum of two alcoholic drinks per guest during the excursion.
Nonalcoholic refreshments are available for children and guests under 21.

Check-in details
Antonito Station ticket pick up is at the Ticket Office/Gift Shop.
Pick up tickets no later than 30 minutes before departure. Please arrive on time — we cannot wait for latecomers. Free parking is available.
What to bring
The mountains can bring about sudden changes in the weather. It is important to wear layered clothing. Bring a warm coat, hat, and gloves!
Wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes is also important to protect your toes and ankles when in the yard and on the train.
When spending time in the open-air gondola car, wear protective eyewear to protect against cinders getting into your eyes. Sunglasses and prescription glasses are fine. We also sell safety glasses for your convenience.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation's must be made 48 hours prior to the trip date. All sales are final and no refunds offered. Changes are subject to a $4 per ticket rebooking fee based upon availability.
