What to Expect

CSR’s Beginner Guided Backcountry Experiences are designed for riders who are new to off-trail powder riding and want to build skills in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. Our professional guides will teach you the fundamentals of backcountry sledding—covering balance, throttle control, sidehilling, and powder turns—while keeping the focus on confidence, safety, and fun.

This program is ideal for riders with little or no off-trail experience who want to progress beyond trail riding and discover the excitement of backcountry sledding.

Your guided experience includes avalanche safety gear, radios, damage coverage, lunch from Yampa Valley Sandwich Co., and your choice of a brand-new Polaris mountain sled. Shuttle service to and from the trailhead is available.
