What to Expect
The San Juan Mountains are home to some of the most rugged terrain in Colorado. While there is climbing almost everywhere we offer up crags in the alpine valleys where these mountain communities are found.
Choose between these amazing locations:
- Lake City: about an hour south of Gunnison there are a few smaller crags to escape the heat a little ways outside town along the Alpine Loop route that connects to the next town.
- Silverton: is an isolated town pretty much right in the middle of the San Juans. While primarily known for the big ice climbs we guide in the winter there are some nice crags to enjoy when you need to beat the heat.
- Ouray: although limited to a small portion of a wall if you happen to find yourself here we're happy to show you around.

- Individual climbing equipment (harness, helmet, climbing shoes, and belay devices).
