What to Expect

The Alpine Loop near Lake City has a huge variety of high alpine terrain that makes great skiing and riding for those willing to really earn their turns (or rent a snow mobile!). We're happy to offer a number options to suit different goals when the avalanche conditions are right. While we can't guarantee the weather will cooperate we can offer some great backcountry skiing/riding in the San Juan mountains.

Pick one of the classic ski/snowboard descents
- Ski the 14ers (Handies, Sunshine, and Redcloud)
- Boulder Gulch and South Handies
- American Basin and Cinnamon Pass Only available End of May-End of June
- Grizzly Gulch

Includes

Individual avalanche equipment (beacon, shovel, probe).
Individual climbing equipment (harness, helmet, and belay devices).
Guide with AMGA Training and Certification for skiing/boarding and instruction
