Black Canyon NP Classic Climbs

The Black Canyon has a reputation. It's imposing and the deep, dark canyon can make you question whether you have what it takes to escape. The climbs are stellar though and a variety of them have great moves on some of the biggest rock walls in the whole state.

Choose between these classic climbs
- Maiden Voyage (5.9): a stellar 6 pitch climb that can be combined with King Me if you're feeling like you need a bit more challenge. This is the easiest climb in the park but should not be underestimated.
- Escape Artist (5.10): Finding the most enjoyable way to the top of the canyon following corners and traversing cracks. You'll feel like you got away with something as you crawl to the top.
- Cloak and Dagger, (5.10+): gets to the heart of the matter as you bully your way up the first pitch and it doesn't let up for nearly 1000' more feet if you finish directly to the rim.
- Scenic Cruise (5.10+, increased pricing): no climb is more classic or more burly. With consistently hard climbing this is a tick worth waiting for.
