You’ll receive a Google map, instructions and trivia questions to guide you along scenic paths and quiet roads. Most of this route has a gentle incline anytime you move west (toward the mountains) and a gentle decline heading east. Physical fitness requirement is moderately low, as long as you can walk comfortably. This route is feasible for a wheelchair, with some electrical or human assistance going uphill. There are plenty of great spots along the way to rest on a bench or grab a drink or a bite.
However, please drink extra water and take food/drink with electrolytes and protein before and during your ride. Boulder is at an elevation of 5400 feet, and many visitors struggle with the high altitude. It is best to allow at least 24 hours of rest at high altitude once you arrive, before embarking on any physical activity or consumption of alcohol.
