What to Expect

Join us onboard the USS Potomac for spectacular front-row seats to watch the US Navy Blue Angels fly right overhead the Potomac as they perform their aerial maneuvers over San Francisco Bay.*

While Blue Angels fans from across the Bay watch from hills, rooftops and all along the waterfront, you will be on the Potomac as the US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornets fly overhead in amazing, tight formations. Our onboard Blue Angels expert will be narrating about their maneuvers throughout the show.*

The Blue Angels pilots are some of the best in the world. Their precision flight demonstrations showcase the professionalism, excellence and teamwork of today's Navy and Marine Corps flying units. They are not to be missed, and there's no better place to enjoy their show than from the decks of the historic USS Potomac!

Departure from Jack London Square in Oakland is on time at 1:30 p.m.; return is at 4:30 p.m. A delicious box lunch will be served on board.

Beer and wine will be available for purchase, in accordance with Alcohol Beverage Control regulations, as will bottled water and soft drinks.

Coffee, tea and water is complimentary.

Please note: A 3% online booking fee is added to your ticket purchase.

Restrictions

Accessibility

The Presidential Yacht USS Potomac is an historically preserved vessel. As such, it does not fully comply with the facility access standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Due to stairs between decks and high thresholds at some doorways, the ship has limited access for some mobility impaired.

Depending upon the level of mobility, walkers and canes can be used in the upper and lower decks but the user will need to assess for themselves whether they can safely navigate the stairs, known as "ladders," to these areas.

Wheelchairs are welcome but are limited to the main deck only. The maximum wheelchair width (outside of wheel to outside of wheel) is 25 inches to get by narrow passageways.

Bathrooms on board are NOT accessible to wheelchairs due to narrow doorways and a short step down. Accessible bathrooms are available dockside, close to the Potomac.

Due to our insurance limitations, crew and docents are not permitted to provide assistance to the mobility impaired, including lifting wheelchairs over obstacles.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made up to and including October 1, 2026 to receive a full refund on your ticket. After that date, due to catering and crew commitments, we unfortunately are not able to provide refunds. Your tickets, however, are transferrable to others as long as they bring a copy of your original booking confirmation as proof of purchase.

n

If fog is present in the bay on the day of the cruise, a weather event that can occur during the fall in San Francisco Bay and/or the airshow is cancelled or reduced, the Potomac will still offer a three-hour cruise experience and provide the other amenities as described. As the Potomac is not a government entity, the cruise also is not affected by government shutdowns or related events.

n

Under these and similar situations outside of our control, a refund is not available. The ship will still go out and offer a three-hour cruise with lunch.

n

In the unlikely case of ship operations or safety - situations within our scope of responsibility that necessitate a trip cancellation - a full refund will be issued.

n

You have purchased your ticket(s) with this understanding and we thank you for your support of Potomac.
