Looking for a one-of-a-kind adventure on the water that includes the joy of paddle boarding and the company of an amazing dog? Whether you're a dog lover traveling without your pup or simply want to experience paddle boarding with a canine co-captain, the SUP Pups Experience with Mr. Rick is just for you.

This private, fully personalized paddle board lesson includes everything from SUP basics to tips on how to paddle with a dog on board. But the highlight? Your lesson partner—Mr. Rick, our beloved 3-year-old Red Fox Lab and seasoned SUP pro. With a calm and loving nature, Mr. Rick is a total sweetheart who adores everyone he meets and is the ultimate paddling pup!

Our experienced and dog-loving instructor will guide you every step of the way, making sure you feel confident, safe, and completely at ease as you glide across the water with your new furry friend.

Whether you're new to SUP or just want to share a splashy moment with a dog, this experience promises fun, connection, and memories to last a lifetime.

Location

SUP Pups is located in Liberty Station, Point Loma in beautiful San Diego behind the Courtyard Marriott Hotel. We are partnered with West Coast Paddle Sports that provides the paddle board rentals. Together we paddle down a very calm channel way that leads into a dead end where a private military dock is. The waterway is a no-wake zone for boaters and barely has boat traffic. We depart from a sandy beach but please be careful of the surrounding rocks and sharp oyster shells.

What the Experience is About

Enhance your experience on the water by learning stand up paddle board (SUP) basics, terminology and proper technique if you are a beginner or avid paddler. Your SUP Pups Instructor will teach you how to introduce Rick to the board, what to do with his leash, boating laws, how to stand up if you want to and MORE!

Who can come??

The paddle board experience can be solo with Rick, your other human, friends, or family. We make our lessons "Private" so you get our ultimate attention out on the water.

For the humans, it doesn't matter if you have never paddle boarded before, we LOVE when it is you and your pups first experience together.

Don't know how to swim? No problem! We will suit you up with a life jacket and you will wear a SUP leash around your ankle that will be attached to the board.

What's Included:

ACTION PHOTOS & VIDEOS

Your Instructor will take them of and Rick from an iPhone while out on the water and after the lesson will airdrop directly or sent end day in link for android.

Paddle Board Rental

You can bring your own if you want, but we suggest learning on our very stable, fully decked hard boards first. If brining your own please enter BYOB : 10% off

Human PFD

We provide you with a US Coast Guard approved PFD that will wrap around your waist or you can wear one for more confidence.

Dog Life Jacket

SUP Pups branded our own life jackets! We supply you with a fitted life jacket for your dog. Even if your dog knows how to swim, it is smart to have one on them to help pull them back up onto the board safely. Please feel free to bring your own if you like!
