What to Expect

Reserve a memorable and educational group charter at the Southern California Railway Museum. Your experience includes a historic ride aboard a historic train and/or trolley*, along with guided access to exhibit spaces showcasing the rich rail history of Southern California.

With approximately 2.5hrs on site, groups can explore engaging displays, utilize grade-aligned gallery guides for student groups, and enjoy time in our shaded grassy picnic areas. Guests are welcome to bring their own lunches, and free parking is available for all visitors.

Cancellation Policy

Minimum cost to book a private charter is $250 for school group or $310 for adult group.

Your Charter Booking includes a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total of your booking, or a minimum of $75 (whichever is higher), which is applied against the total charter booking price. Except in the case of operator cancellations due to circumstances outside of our control, including severe rain events, all Southern California Railway Museum (SCRM) Charters are "Rain or Shine". With at least 14 days notice, you may request to reschedule your reservation and apply your deposit toward a new date. Contact the Museum Store by phone at (951)943-3020 to reschedule .

It is not recommended to visit during heavy rain. Please call SCRM at least two hours before your departure to check the local weather forecast. In the case of severe weather including heavy rain, SCRM will assist you with rescheduling your charter or will honor a full refund including deposit refund.
