Full Moon on Moro Rock
For all ages! • 1 Hour • Hike Level: Moderate
What to Expect
Moro Rock is a popular spot for visitors to enjoy the sunset, but few know that once a month, the sunset aligns perfectly with the rising of the full moon!
About
Spend an unforgettable evening marveling at our closest celestial neighbor and Earth's only natural satellite. During this special program atop Moro Rock, your naturalist guide will share fascinating moon stories and insightful lunar science.
The program begins at the top of the Moro Rock staircase, which is about a 15-minute walk from the parking area. We recommend participants be physically prepared to climb the long staircase — approximately 400 steps — to reach the top.
Bringing a flashlight and a jacket is also advised for comfort and safety.
