What to Expect

Experience some of the South Fork American River’s best Class II and III whitewater on this half-day rafting trip. Action begins immediately with Class III Meatgrinder and continues through technical rapids like Racehorse Bend, Triple Threat and the Class III+ Troublemaker. Midway, the trip pauses for a deli-style lunch at Marshall Gold Discovery State Historic Park where a guide offers a short tour and Gold Rush history. The return section is mellower, giving guests time to practice steering, swim, or relax with their raft-mates before finishing in the afternoon.
