Located in Santa Barbara, California, just north of Los Angeles, we are the closest location to LA County for horseback beach riding. Our beach and trail rides utilize the beautiful Montecito Trails Foundation network, meandering through canopies of coastal live oaks, mossy willows, stunning estates and breathtaking beaches.
For All Experience Levels
We offer trail rides for guests 10 years old and up. If you child has experience riding and is between 7 and 9 years of age, please contact us directly by phone. Los Padres Outfitters is open 7 days per week, year round thanks to the temperate climate of Central Coast California. No experience is necessary to enjoy the great outdoors on horseback. Our horses are suitable for riders with all levels of horseback riding experience.

Individual, group, family, sunset, sunrise, and picnic adventures can be arranged any time of year and for any number of people; with advance notice, we can accommodate more than 10. Our family has been riding these trails for generations. Join us for an incredible trail ride in the heart of Old California.

Enjoy a scenic picnic 1/2 way through your trail ride. Dismount and your guide will take you to a secluded spot with incredible views of land and sea. We prepare a specially curated selection of locally sourced treats. Let us know if you have any dietary requirements; you’re welcome to provide your own wine.
20% automatic gratuity is pre-added upon booking to all picnic rides.

Cancellation Policy
Should a cancellation occur before the 48 hour window, please call us and we will issue a 50% refund. Should a cancellation occur 48 hours or less of your scheduled ride, no refund or part of a refund will be issued.
