DAY 1:
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore three unique techniques that transform simple materials into luminous works of art. We’ll start with basic of working with enamel when used with glass, creating 2 single Flower 4x6 art pieces as you learn different ways to decorate them. You do not have to be able to paint or draw to be successful!

Next, you’ll dive into the playful world of glass powder, designing delicate powder wafers that add depth, texture, which is a component you'll use for two of the projects.

Wait there's more! You'll learn the technique of Freeze and Fuse glass powder as well.

These will all need to be fired before we can assemble.

Day 2:
Everything comes together. You’ll combine your enamel piece and use your handcrafted wafers to decorate the flower and the leaves.

Then you'll use more of your wafers to be background and using your fuse-and-freeze pieces to create a glowing 3x4 tea light—your own little sculpture of light.

The prerequisites are the Introduction to Fused Glass or equivalent experience, and Day 1 of this class.

Bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment. By the end, you won’t just understand these techniques… you’ll have four beautiful pieces to prove it.

Come ready to create, explore, and maybe surprise yourself a little.

Note: Artwork will be fired in a kiln and may picked up about 7 days after the second class. Shipping is available for travelers at an additional cost.
